With the 2022 World Cup just over nine months away, interest is already ramping up significantly. With the final few qualification spots still up for grabs, some countries are still desperate to line up at the start in Qatar on November 18th. 12 European teams are still to battle it out for the final 3 spots.
Best World Cup European Qualifiers Bets
It is hard to imagine a World Cup 2022 without Italy playing and they are a very short 1/5 to beat North Macedonia with William Hill in the qualifying semi-final. Portugal, another team with a decent World Cup pedigree, are 4/11 to see off Turkey with Hills. Scotland, forever breaking their fans’ hearts with near misses are 29/20 to beat Ukraine, who are 15/8 with Hills. Scotland are a much shorter price elsewhere and they have the advantage of playing at home in Glasgow, so will prove popular. Should they win, they will face a visit to either Cardiff or Vienna to win their first place at a finals in 24 years.
Russia v Poland, already a mouth-watering clash, takes on an added significance, given the current geo-political situation. Russia are 7/5 to see off their rivals to the west and the Poles are 19/10 to win the game, both with Hills. The winners will travel to Sweden or the Czech Republic to confirm their place in Qatar. World Cup Outright Betting Markets & Odds
It will come as no surprise to find Brazil heading the market for Qatar with all bookmakers. The five-time winners are a best price 11/2 (Betfred and 10Bet) to lift the trophy. France are next in at a best-priced 7/1 with Unibet. Perennial under-achievers England are 8/1, with Spain at 9/1 and a quality-packed Belgium team at 11/1. If you fancy home advantage to play a significant factor, then Qatar at 300/1 with Unibet will appeal. They are as short as 150/1 with other firms.
Italy are interesting in the outright market, as they are yet to qualify. Betfred has them at 12/1, but Unibet seem keen to take them on at 19/1. If the Italians do make it to the finals in March, then that price is sure to be slashed. Of the other teams, multiple World Cup winners Germany and Argentina are both widely available at 10/1, with the Dutch at 16/1 with William Hill and Betfred.
Top Goalscorer 2022 World Cup Bets
Unibet are already offering prices in this ever-popular market. Top of the tree is France’s Kylian Mbappe at 9/1. His countryman Antoine Griezmann is a generous 25/1. England fans will be attracted by the 13/1 on Harry Kane, or perhaps the 30/1 on Marcus Rashford. Lukaku is 17/1 with Unibet and fellow Belgian Eden Hazard is a much-bigger 40/1.
